Instructions


    RTV-2 room temperature silicone rubber for elastic silicone rubber pad /printing pad silicone is two-component silicon, part A is the liquid silicon rubber, part B is the catalyst. The usual mixing ratio for silicon rubber and catalyst is 9:1, eg. We take 900grams of liquid silicon rubber, then we add 100 grams catalyst, mix then evenly and pour it to your mold. Then after 2-4 hours, you will obtain a printing pad.


The reasons why the silicone pad has a short service life are listed as follows:

(1)The problem caused by inappropriate filtration of silicone rubber, and impurities in the packaging process due to the uncleanness of barrels and bags.

 

(2)The short service life of the silicone pad has a close relationship with the adding amount of silicone oil. The more the silicone oil added, the softer the silicone pad will be. The silicone oil will destroy the molecule of the silicone rubber, thereby bringing about the non-durable and easy aging of the silicone pad.

 

(3)All the users should know the properties of pad printing silicone rubber. The service life of the silicone pad has close relationship with the size of the printed patterns. For example, if a big pattern to be printed, a big silicone pad is required; if a small pattern to be printed, a small silicone pad (the silicone pad has to be adjusted according to the size of the patterns, and the proportion between the size of the silicone pad and the pattern is 3:1.)

 

Why RTV-2 room temperature silicone rubber for elastic silicone rubber pad /printing pad silicone?

(1)If the silicon pad is too hard while the pattern is very delicate or small, the printing patterns will be incomplete or not very clear, for in that way the silicon pad could not adsorb the printing ink from the steel plate well. If your pattern is very delicate or small, please use soft silicon pad for pad printing.
 

(2)If the percentage of water in the ink is very high, the printing pattern also will be incomplete, and spot may appeared. For this situation, please clean your ink box, or change the printing ink or Tianna water.

2. How to remove the bubbles during my mould making?

--After mixing liquid silicone with curing agent, please put the material into vacuum machine to take off the bubbles.

 

3. How to get good silicone mould to use longer time?

--The best way is:   

#a, Please choose the right liquid silicone according to your products.   

#b, Don't use any silicone oil in mold making, because it can make the silicone mould become too soft to use.

#c, Silicone mould can be used longer after the whole silicone mould fully cured, so it's better to wait 2 hours after mould finished.  

 

4. Why silicone rubber add curing agent after mixing a lot of bubbles?
