1.Measuring & Mixing
Before you embark on this process, ensure precision by accurately weighing both Part A and Part B. Introduce these components into your mixing container. Mix them meticulously for several minutes, ensuring you scrape the sides and bottom of the container thoroughly. To achieve the best results in your silicone mix, it is advisable to conduct vacuum degassing after mixing Parts A and B to eliminate any air bubbles trapped within. Dedicate approximately 5 to 8 minutes for the vacuum process to ensure a perfect blend.
2. De-airing
Choose between natural deaerating and vacuum methods for optimal results.
Natural Deaerating: Allow the mixed silicone to rest undisturbed for 20 to 30 minutes; during this period, air bubbles will naturally rise and dissipate.
Vacuum Deaerating: Engage in a 5 to 10-minute vacuum process at a degree of 0.09 to 0.1 MPa. This method ensures a swift and effective removal of air.
3. Pouring Performance
Pouring - Prior to potting, ensure that both the parts' surfaces and the mixing container are impeccably clean and dry to guarantee a flawless finish.
Encapsulate the prepared mixture into the designated products to complete the pouring operation with precision and ease.
4.Curing / Post Curing
Vulcanizing: Place the sealed product at room temperature, allowing it to cure naturally for a complete set in 6 to 8 hours. For expediency, consider accelerating the process with elevated temperatures: it will take merely 60 minutes at 60ºC, 30 minutes at 80ºC, or as little as 20 minutes at 120ºC for full curing.
