Installation Instructions

RTV Silicone Rubber for PCB Board Electronic Potting Silicone:

1.Measuring & mixing

Before embarking on this process, it is crucial to precisely measure Part A and Part B. These components should be combined in a mixing container. Stir the mixture thoroughly for a couple of minutes, ensuring you consistently scrape the sides and bottom of the container multiple times. For optimal results, once Parts A and B are mixed, it is advisable to perform vacuum degassing. This step is key in eliminating any trapped air bubbles within the mixture. A recommended vacuum time is approximately 5 to 8 minutes.

2. De-airing

Employ either the natural deaerating method or the vacuum method to release trapped air.
Natural deaerating: Allow the blended silicone to rest undisturbed for 20 to 30 minutes; this enables the air bubbles to rise and escape naturally.
Vacuum deaerating: Place the mixture under vacuum conditions for 5 to 10 minutes at a vacuum degree ranging from 0.09 to 0.1 MPa to ensure a bubble-free finish.

3. Pouring performance

Pouring - Prior to initiating potting, ensure that both the surface of the parts and the mixing container are impeccably clean and dry.
Proceed to encapsulate the mixture into the product parts to complete the pouring operation seamlessly.

4.
Curing / Post-Curing

Vulcanizing: Position the sealed product at room temperature to allow it to cure under natural conditions. The process requires 6 to 8 hours for a complete cure at room temperature. To expedite the process, higher temperatures can be employed. Typically, full curing under 60ºC takes about 60 minutes, 30 minutes at 80ºC, or a swift 20 minutes at 120ºC.
